Building a rustic twig chair is a collaboration
between the builder and nature. The builder must look at each branch and think about how that natural bend or twist
will become part of a comfortable chair. Does it want to twist up, or down? Is it powerful or subtle. Does it need to
be laid aside for another day. The builder cannot force will on nature and get a nice chair. The builder must work in
concert to create a pleasing chair.
Designing a chair that incorporates man-made
items into a chair that also reflects the natural desires of the wood is an interesting process. Each of Rob's chairs tells
a story. Rob will work with you to tell your story. Are you a skier, angler, couch potato, or cowboy?
Maybe you are into rusty tools and bicycle chains. You will be a part of the process of creating the perfect rustic twig
chair for you.
